My name is Tyler Rottinghaus, and I am a proud gun owner. ever since I was a toddler, I had been around firearms. My dad taught me to shoot when I was 10, and ever since then, I have been in love with guns. I have fired just about every bullet caliber you could think of out of a rifle. I have bought, sold, and built firearms throughout my life, which makes me pretty credible to make this blog. I made this blog to help people who are getting into buying firearms, as well as people who are avid gun owners, but are looking for the best kind of firearm to fit their needs.

Way back in the day, I bought an AR-15 Academy sports in Topeka, and it was the single worst decisions I could have ever made being a gun owner. Instead of researching what kind of AR I wanted, I decided to just buy one. the Ruger 10/22. yes, everyone has one.

I shouldn't have to tell you what a Ruger 10/22 is. Fact of the matter is, you probably own one. The Ruger 10/22 is the Swiss army knife of rifles. It is such a customizable platform. There are a literal shit ton of models for this rifle.       The Carbine model is one of the more popular versions of the rifle. everyone has seen a ruger Takedown. Wood stock, 25 round banana mag, flip up rear iron sight. It's as standard as standard gets, and it's beautiful. This was probably the first gun you ever got. It's a very good way to start learning how to operate firearms.        The Takedown model is essentially the carbine model with a synthetic fiberglass stock, stainless steel barrel, and stock scope mount. It does the same as the carbine, except I guess it looks more edgy.         The Takedown Lite model is a more tactical version of the takedown.
