the Ruger 10/22. yes, everyone has one.

I shouldn't have to tell you what a Ruger 10/22 is. Fact of the matter is, you probably own one. The Ruger 10/22 is the Swiss army knife of rifles. It is such a customizable platform. There are a literal shit ton of models for this rifle.       The Carbine model is one of the more popular versions of the rifle. everyone has seen a ruger Takedown. Wood stock, 25 round banana mag, flip up rear iron sight. It's as standard as standard gets, and it's beautiful. This was probably the first gun you ever got. It's a very good way to start learning how to operate firearms.        The Takedown model is essentially the carbine model with a synthetic fiberglass stock, stainless steel barrel, and stock scope mount. It does the same as the carbine, except I guess it looks more edgy.         The Takedown Lite model is a more tactical version of the takedown. It's meant more for defense than recreation or hunting. there are no stock iron sights...

Military surplus rifles. Affordable and reliable

One thing a lot of gun owners like to overlook is a surplus firearm. There are a few reasons for this. The parts are harder to find, the guns were used and abused in the military, etc. however, with firearms sales on the internet increasing, it's becoming a lot easier to find parts for these surplus firearms. There are a lot of benefits in buying a surplus firearm, those being affordability, reliability, and collectability.         One of the most popular surplus rifles used today is the Mosin Nagant. Say what you want about the Russians, but they sure do know how to make a great rifle. These are some of the cheapest surplus firearms (let alone firearms in general) that you can find on the market. you can find a sporterized version of one of these for just a little over 300 bucks. The mosin shoots a 7.62x51 mm cartridge, which is similar in size to the .308. The round is fast, the rifle is accurate, and the ammo is cheap. This rifle will always withstand the test of...

Pistols that are perfect for concealed carry

A lot of people are starting to conceal carry nowadays. Even some colleges allow people to conceal carry on campus. A lot of people can sometimes get confused as to what pistols they should carry. Here are a few examples of pistols you can use.         The smith and Wesson m&p shield is a very good pistol for self defense. It fires 9mm bullets. The pistol itself is very compact. you could fit it in your back pocket. The barrel is ported, which works as a recoil compensator. The only downside to the pistol is that it is incredibly loud. It still is a very affordable option for a conceal carry pistol.          The Taurus Judge is probably the most badass of conceal carry pistols. It is a five shot revolver that is capable of shooting either 410 shotgun shells or .45 long colt. this pistol is probably one of the more powerful handguns small enough to conceal carry. It is legitimately scary to look at. It isn't every day that you see a han...

The Barrett .50 BMG. The middle finger to gun control.

This gun is the reason I love America. The Barrett M82 is the truly American rifle. This is more than just a sniper. This gun is labelled as an anti- material rifle!        This rifle is capable of piercing many kinds of vehicle armor. The rifle is capable of being shot effectively past 4,000 yards. This firearm is the pinnacle of all rifles. It's considered a standard issue sniper in multiple military branches in multiple countries. That's not the best part, however. You want to know the best part? This rifle can be bought by ANYBODY. You do not need special government clearance with this rifle. This Rifle can be legally bought just like any other civilian rifle on the market.         Is this rifle practical? No, but who the hell cares? it's a damn .50 BMG. You don't use this rifle to hunt. You use this rifle to decimate anything in your path. I have seen people bust through whole engine blocks with a .50 BMG. Can you affor...

the S&W .500 magnum. Desert Eagles are for Pussies

Once apon a time, A movie called Dirty Harry came out. In one scene, Clint Eastwood called his .44 magnum the most powerful handgun in the world. He could have never been so wrong. If Clint Eastwood had ever known about the .500 magnum, he would turn white with fear.        The .500 magnum is considered to be the most powerful handgun in the world. The round has been used as an African big game cartridge for many years, and it's obvious why. shooting this round at something is like shooting a brick out of your hand at a whopping 1,800 fps. It's like you have god's wrath at your fingertips. Trust me, I've shot one. Never before have I been so overwhelmed by firing a pistol. You don't simply shoot a .500 smith and Wesson. You must bow down, and pay tribute. then the pistol will allow you to shoot it, without risk of the recoil pushing the pistol back into your face.       This handgun is so powerful, That it makes the Desert Eagle look like a .22 pisto...

the .224 valkyrie. the round no one has ever heard of, but everyone needs

I got a question for you. Do you want your AR-15 to shoot beyond 1000 yards? the real question is, who doesn't? The .224 valkyrie is so accurate, you could shoot the pecker off of a fly from 400 yards, and leave the balls unruffled. This rifle caliber runs circles around the 6.5 creedmore. Almost nobody knows about this round, and it pisses me off.          This is the most accurate round ever made for the AR platform.  This round shoots flatter and faster the .223, the .22 nobler, and the 6.5 Grendel. The round maintains super sonic speed even past 1,000 yards, which is incredible considering the size of the round. The round looks like a fat version of the .223. the round shoots 2,700 ft/s right out of the barrel, which is considerably faster than even an F35 fighter jet! The round is incredibly affordable as well. The upper for a .224 valkyrie made by palmetto state armory costs about 500 dollars, which is very affordable considering an upper for a 6.5 G...

The .338 Lapua. The round everyone wants, but no one needs

Some people call it the son of the .50 BMG. The Lapua is the kind of round when you want to kill a 3 elephants at 2000 yards with one shot. The caliber is so impractical that I'm pretty sure if you own one, you only have it just to say you own one. A standard Lapua rifle costs 1200 dollars bone stock. A box of 20 rounds cost just about 60 dollars. That's 3 bucks a damn round. The longest sniper shot in history was made with a .338 lapua which was recorded to be over 8,000 feet away. The round is big, bold, and badass! I hate it!         This round in my opinion is the most dumb thing ever created. The only reason I've seen people buy this round is because the cannot afford a .50 caliber rifle. I just don't understand it. The round is too small to stand up to the .50 BMG, but it's bigger than a 30-06 so it's impractical to kill any animal in North America with it. The round is literally worthless. You can't even use the long distance accuracy argument anymor...

Versatile Hunting rifles

Many people I know like to hunt. However, sometimes it's hard for people to find the right rifle to use for hunting.          The rifle you use ultimately depends on the animal you are hunting. Sometimes the best rifle to use is the one with the most versatile round. Round versatility (for hunting) is distinguished by how many different types of animal you can ethically kill with it. Which there are plenty of rifle calibers that are super versatile.           One good example of a versatile round is a .243. The .243 can kill most types of animals from small varmints like coyotes, to big game animals, such as moose. The .243 is a very popular deer killing round, and I would highly recommend it. You can find a rifle that shoots the .243 for as cheap as 400 bucks new. The rounds themselves are also super cheap, which is a plus.           Another good round is the 22-250. It's a bit smaller than the .243, but it s...

firearms for home defense

I, like many other gun owners, have some sort of firearm for home defense. A lot of people who aren't experienced in firearms don't exactly know what they should use for home defense. It's actually not as difficult as you would think to find the right self defense firearm for you.            A lot of people use either pistols or shotguns for home defense. Pistols are compact, so they are perfect for close quarters scenarios. Shotguns can be designed to be more compact with pistol grips, and shortened barrels. Also, if someone is breaking into your house, nothing scares a burglar like the sound of a round being chambered into a pump action shotgun.             When it comes to pistols, I would recommend any pistol that shoots the .45 ACP caliber. The .45 acp caliber is a slow traveling, but high impact round. The round can penetrate damn near any material in it's way. The round is also very accurate. I would recommend either b...
